However, some viewers have questioned how faithful the show is to the source material. In particular, many fans have pointed out that several key plot points from the comics have been changed or omitted entirely in the TV adaptation.
Of course, it’s important to remember that not every detail from a book can be translated perfectly to the screen. With that said, here are some of the biggest changes between Locke & Key comic book and the television show:
-In the comics, Tyler Locke is much younger than he is in the TV show. He’s only six years old when his father dies, whereas in the show he’s a teenager.
-Similarly, Bode Locke is also younger in the comics than he is in the show. In fact, he doesn’t even speak in the comics — he only communicates through sign language.
-The character of Gabe Lowan is completely original to the TV show. He doesn’t appear in the comics at all.
-Rufus Turner is also an original character for the TV series. In the comics, he’s replaced by a woman named Nina Locke.

What did I think of the show?
I was really excited to watch Locke and Key because I had heard great things about it. I was also curious to see how it would compare to the comic books, as I am a big fan of the source material. Overall, I thought the show was very well done and it stayed true to the spirit of the comics. The acting was great, the visuals were stunning, and the story was engaging. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of the comic books or just wants a good horror/mystery show to watch.
What did I think of the book?
I was hesitant to read this book because I am not a fan of horror. My thinking was that since it was adapted into a tv show, it couldn’t be that scary. I was wrong. This book is terrifying. It is not for the faint of heart. The story is about a family that moves into a new house after the father is killed in a car accident. The house is full of secrets and dangers, and the family quickly realizes that they are not alone in the house. The story is full of suspense, and I had trouble putting it down. If you are a fan of horror, or if you are looking for a book that will keep you up at night, I would highly recommend this book.
Overall thoughts
Overall, I thought Locke and Key was a great show. It’s well-written, suspenseful, and has great special effects. It’s definitely worth watching if you’re looking for a good horror/thriller series. However, I was disappointed to learn that it is not based on a book. I had heard good things about the comic book series that it is based on, so I was hoping that the show would be just as good. Despite this, I still enjoyed the show and would recommend it to others.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while Locke & Key is not based strictly on a book, it is heavily inspired by many works in the horror genre. If you’re a fan of Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft, then you’ll likely enjoy this series.
