Introduction
Reading is critical for success in school and in life. Good readers tend to do better in school and on standardized tests. They are better spellers and have an easier time learning a foreign language. Good readers also tend to be better critical thinkers and have better problem-solving skills.
The last book I read
The last book I read was “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger.
Why I read it
I read the book for a number of reasons. First, it was recommended by a friend. Secondly, it had been getting a lot of buzz and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Finally, I love dystopian fiction and this book sounded like it fit that genre.
What I thought of it
I just finished reading “The Girl on the Train” and I thought it was really good! It was a bit of a slow start, but I really got into it and couldn’t put it down. The characters were well developed and the plot was twisty and suspenseful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good thriller.
What I liked about it
I just finished reading “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger. I really liked it because it was such an honest portrayal of teenage angst and confusion. Holden Caulfield is a relatable character who is just trying to find his way in the world.
What I didn’t like about it
I read a lot of books, and I usually enjoy them. But there are always things that I don’t like about every book I read. Here are some of the things I didn’t like about the last book I read:
-The characters weren’t very well developed
-The plot was confusing
-The ending was unsatisfying

When I finished it
I read a lot of books, but the last one I actually finished was “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger. I read it for a class in college, and I have to say that I’m glad I finally read it. It’s a classic for a reason.
